A Changing Coastline.

NOVI VINODOLSKI.

Rosie is up at 6am checking the spin dryer! She puts up the washing line and hangs out the washing before returning to bed.

We laze around until lunchtime waiting for the washing to dry. We go for a walk in the meadows, Rosie is looking for wildlife but is disappointed that she can only see butterflies!

The journey to Novi Vinodolski is set to take 6 hours. Satnav always overestimated the time so we're not concerned. The journey takes us through some beautiful mountainous countryside including several lakeside.

We decide to stop in Karlobac for lunch. The coastal road is full of motorbikes and the cafe has its fair share. A pizza and chips washed down with fresh lemonade. Rosie wants to sunbathed so we hang around for an hour. She also takes the opportunity for a dip in the sea.

The coastline is decidedly different from Dalmatia. Fewer hamlets and more rugged.

The site we're aiming for is unlocked but no sign of life. A car arrives with the driver telling us that it's closed. We find another one a couple of kilometres up the road. The reception closes at midday so we pick a spot near the road.

We wander to the harbour and enjoy a beer, or two, before settling down for the night.
