Our Last Night in Europe
ADINKERKE, DE PANNE.
We decide we are staying another night on the campsite. The sun is shining and promises to stay all day.
Somehow, I lose the cover over the toilet cassette whilst cleaning it. Very frustrating!
We drive into France to Carrefour to look to change the gas bottle. Unfortunately, they only accept Carrefour bottles. We learn that the nearest Geant/Casino supermarket is 38 miles away. The 76 mile round trip would negate the return of the deposit. We decide to investigate the options once we're back in England, pick up some supplies and return to the campsite.
A lazy lunch followed by reading in the sun.
I run down to the beach through the dunes. It's about 2 miles but the terrain is difficult, running up and down through the sand. My shoes are full by the time I return.
The beach reminds me of the Fylde coast. The sea is away from the shore and there is a brisk wind whipping in off the sea.
Final dinner on foreign soil for a while consists of chicken and salad, custard and Sauvignon Bland, delicious.
Sorry, no photos other than another one of the campsite.
