Spending Sunday in Storvorde.

STORVORDE.

A lazy Sunday morning, awake just before 9am. Breakfast of bread and pate and cereal. We recall seeing a very strange sight last night. A man dressed in a bikini was sunbathing by the sauna!

We're on our way by 11:30, the sat nav estimates a journey of 3.5 hours but we arrive by 2pm. The trip is through the Danish countryside with numerous pretty little villages.

The site is another harbour but without the commerciality of last night's. We're the first van to arrive so It's difficult to know if we are in the right place. A helpful guy in the boat house explains that we have to complete an envelope and fill it with DKK170. He also shows Rosie how to use the washing machine, DKK25 pays for three washes.

A lazy afternoon by the van as we watch the wind quickly dry our washing. Chris and Sally video call us, Rosie ecstatic to see the twins.

The ferry agent has emailed to reject our booking because the ferry is full. They offer next Friday as an alternative but that would waste the best part of a week. We decide to go to the port tomorrow.

Dinner by the van, including a starter of pickled herring. Well we are in Denmark after all. An evening walk in the setting sun followed.
