A Freshwater Bath Before Breakfast.
LAUVVIK.
Our morning shower / bath is taken in the local lagoon. The water is freshwater, cold but refreshing. We're joined by a cyclist who was staying on our service stop last night. He proceeded to wash his hair in shower gel and shave in the lagoon. Then, the Belgium couple from last night join us. We swim a couple of times, enjoy breakfast and leave at 1pm. As we are leaving, a family from Lithuania, now resident near Luton, stop to talk to us.
Drive to the ferry at Lauvvik to check times and book the ferry for tomorrow. The agent for another ferry company tells us to book on line. A couple of failures later, Rosie phones and makes the booking.
The harbour is a good place to stay overnight, however.
Pick up provisions in Hole, 2 cans of cider cost £8.
Find a lake with a beach to spend a couple of hour's before dinner. The darkness is caused by the sunshine not the night-time. A Norwegian comes over to welcome us to his country. It transpires that he's a Country & Western singer and learnt English through his songs. He's no lover of the Germans, he asks us to run them off the road if we see any.
Great views of the Fjord as we enjoy a dinner of pasta and vegetables and, of course, the cider.
