Storms in the South.

LISTA FYR.

Wide open windows let air in but also lots of traffic noise resulting in a restless night.

The parkrun starts at 9:30 unlike everywhere else at 9 because the Norwegians can't get out of bed. One lap around the lake means that most of the course is flat. Unfortunately, a climb is introduced just before 4k up to a viewing point. Hard work but worth it, the tells ships can be seen in the harbour. Learn that it was 28 degrees when we started. Little wonder I recorded a slow time.

Back at the hotel with 15 minutes left for breakfast. Fill up with fruit, cereal and eggs and beans. Then cool down with a swim.

The Country and Western singer told us of a monument on a fjord close to our hotel. Three giant swords sit on the shore of Hafrsfjord. It commemorates when King Harald Fairhair united Norway into one kingdom in 872.

Tonight's site is at a lighthouse in the south. Very windy when we arrive. Time for a walk around. There must be a dozen alpaca in the fields around the rocks. They decide to move on and all walk in single file following ghrir leader. Then the heavens open. I typing this in the middle of a thunderstorm. The good news, the wind might be dropping.
