The Price Was Right.

TRITTAU.

Up early enough for a run before breakfast. Follow the route of the walk from yesterday with a little added at the start. Disturb a kestrel in the woods, awed by the smooth take off and almost silent flight.

Yesterday, I found a screw by the side of the van. I assumed that it was from the previous resident. Turned out to be from the side door catch. Use the age-old remedy of a broken matchstick.

The third piece of good news comes as we checkout. We receive s 10 euro reduction which brings us back to the price we expected.

There is a zoo a couple of miles from the site. We are able to see two bears in their enclosure from the roadside.

Travel 100 miles to a small town called Trittau. Such a contrast to the woods and lakes of recent days. Walk around the town for provisions from Lidl and gnomes (finally! from Penny). A number of houses date back to the early 1900's.

The large car park by the swimming pool has 5 marked places for motorhomes. As you can see, we are the only ones here. Parking is free and there is a decent toilet but no other facilities. We can hear either crickets or secadas in the hedges as the sun goes down.
